Blank gun noise?

about how far could you hear a blak gun half just wanted to know cause my friend wants to get one about how far the distance sorry my english

2 - Ambient noise around shooter

3 - Trees and other obstacles

4 - If nobody is around does it make any noise

5 - Location - Standing at end of a box canyon you will hear it farther than on the plains

Average would be slightly less than a standard firearm

Blanks will produce a lot less noise than regular rounds. However, they are still pretty loud. I've witnessed two 21 gun salutes last year. They use seven M14 rifles in a 21 gun salute and they fire almost simultaneously. I could hear the guns fire clearly even when I'm well over 150 yards away. Hope this helps.
