Blank screen on the Verizon Razr?

I have a verizon razr phone and it won't show me anything but a blank screen. Usually the problem is fixed by opening and closing the phone a couple of times or heating it, however this will not work now. I'm getting a new phone, but i need to retrieve my unread text messages and contacts. Is there anyway to retrieve these or get the screen to work? Oh and all the buttons work but i just cant see a thing. Thanks!

There is no way to read or get a hold of the text messages.  The contacts you may be able to get. You would have to go to the Verizon store or call customer care & ask them to walk you through step by step on how to transfer your contacts.
