Blanket petition? ranking?

i run across the requirements for the H1B visa today and i saw something about the blanket petition? Can you tell me more about this. Say for instance there are lots of applicant who will have an interview with the consul, petitioned by one company. Would there be any ranking that a certain person should be prioritize in the interview over another. Please help

No, multiple applicants under the same blanket petition are not ranked for appointments - the US embassy sets the appointments, not USCIS.  Once the embassy receives your paperwork, you will be contacted by the embassy.
