  1. You could try long and not tall storange boxes and keep the blankets you use the most nearest the area you will be getting them out of.

  2. Those space bags work great for the ones you never hardly use!

For the ones you ise often get a trunk or some sort of box that looks like decor but opens up to store 10 blankets or so for easy access and the trunk/box looks like part of your decoration style! You can usually find old primitive trunks at flea markets or yard sales for about 25 bucks for a decent sized one or 50-70 bucks for a great big one!

    Good luck!

  3. Those space bags work great.  Special plastic bags you suck the air out of.  Available in CA at Bed Bath & Beyond as well as Target & Walmart. Then you can easily store under the bed & they're easy to access. Get each teen their own & let them take care of  & store them.

  4. Those space bags are nice to store large items because you vacuum the air out so it takes up less space.https://www.spacebag.com/spacebag/902303...

  5. For the less used blankets

    -------------------------------------

I would invest in oversized zipper bags or "space bags" and store them under the bed or in the attic.

    For the frequently used blankets

    --------------------------------------...

Use behind chairs, headboards or sofas to hang blankets. Invest in a few old fashioned quilt racks and hang the blankets.  This use of vertical space (especially behind sofas) will keep them neat and orderly.  You can also use a drying rack to hang the blankets or can hang them on hangers in the closet (use a double-rod or rod extender to maximize your space)
