The Polish footballer was rumoured to transfer to a top European club before pledging his future to Dortmund, but is now in admission that he wanted to stay.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jakub-Blaszczykowski-c17616 has suggested that it was never his intention to leave Borussia Dortmund under any circumstances because according to the midfielder, only a few clubs are better than the Die Borussen outfit.
The Poland skipper’s agent maintained that his employer was being closely monitored by European giants such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, by signing
a new long term contract with the Westfalenstadion until 2016.
Blaszczykowski further said that he didn’t think twice before committing to the Bundesliga title holders after an impressive European Championships 2012 where he led his side, followed by his consistent performances in the domestic
double winning side.
Moreover, the attacking playmaker added that when he joined the German side in 2007 the club was not as successful and big as it is now. The versatile player conceded that he would love to continue the project of development at
the club and thought it would have been wrong of him to leave in the meanwhile.
"When I came to Dortmund, the club was not like it is now. I want to continue to participate in this development,” the winger was quoted saying in an interview.
The 26-year-old claimed that there are a very few teams better than his current side and the club supporters are just a treat. The appearance of thousands of fans in their recent friendly game outlines the support of the Bundesliga
club.
"What clubs in the world are better than Borussia Dortmund? There are not many. And the fans are outstanding: several thousand supporters in St Gallen for a friendly game - that says it all," the former Wisla Krakow player concluded.
Blaszczykowski captained http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Poland-c2983 at Euro 2012 and signed for Die Schwarzgelben outfit from Wisla Krakow in 2007 for a transfer fee of €3 million.
