Blazedale Black tipped for success in Williamhill.com Puppy
Blazedale Black will be confident of delivering a strong result in the Williamhill.com Puppy at Newcastle in England on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. All of his opponents are young and lack the experience at this level, thus the competition is expected to
be a close one. The winner of the race will be awarded a cash prize of £250 in the end.
It is difficult to predict the winner of the Grade OR event accurately, as the record of all the greyhounds does not suggest too many things. Despite that, the punters will have a couple of good options, but they should be extremely careful while risking
their money over any participant.
The overall distance to cover for all the runners will be 480 metres, thus the start of the race will count a lot. The one who gains an early momentum will be in a great position to attack towards the end as well.
Therefore, the starting positions will play a vital role in determining the winner. Considering this, the best chances of winning are with Mill Meehan, as he will be entering from trap number one. He will have a great chance of gaining a solid lead at the
start, which will then put him in a commanding position.
However, the K. Macari’s trained hound will be under immense pressure at the moment. He has appeared in a lot of training sessions, but things will be different altogether in this class. He was scheduled to race in one Grade OR event, but was unable to get
any result out of that.
On the other hand, Mill Genovese has been given the best odds for victory by the bookies, as he seems to be more experienced compared to his opponents. He has appeared in quite a few races in this class and his performances in them have been decent.
However, the brindle hound is yet to taste any Grade OR success, thus the punters might not take a lot of interest in him. He will be entering the race from trap number three.
Although, the top two favourites have got the ability to fight for a victory, yet they will not find it easy to finish on top of the table in presence of Blazedale Black, who will be breaking in from the second trap.
The D. Spraggon’s trainee has appeared in a couple of Grade OR events and finished as a runner up in one of them. Therefore, his confidence level will be good and he will be an ideal choice for the punters.
