Blazing Field expected to win Hippo Waste Stakes (Handicap) (Div II)
Blazing Field is likely to win the Hippo Waste Stakes (Handicap) (Div II) at Goodwood in England on Thursday, May 24, 2012. The winner of the class-4 event will walk away with a cash prize of £4,852.
The going will be good to firm in the 2 mile race, which is scheduled to start at 16:55 GMT. The stamina of all participants will be put to a test, as the distance to cover is quite long.
A total of nine runners have lined up for action at Goodwood and their names are as follows: Blazing Field, Hidden Valley, Gilded Age, Astromagick, High Samana, Wild Desert, Mohanad, Spirit Of Adjisa and Battleoftrafalgar.
At the moment, Blazing Field has got the best chance of winning the race. Although she does not have a lot of experience, she has done well in recent times. The punters will definitely be interested in risking a lot of bets on her today.
The four-year-old filly has participated in seven races until now, but has won just one of them and finished runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, she has also secured a couple of third place finishes, which shows that she has
the ability to fight for victories consistently.
In her most recent race, the Clive Cox’s trainee finished third overall. There were a total of 11 participants in that event, thus the result was not a bad one for him. However, she will need to be at her absolute best in order to outperform others
at Goodwood.
Blazing Field will be partnered by John Fahy in the race. The seasoned jockey has won quite a few races at this level, but his overall strike rate is not impressive. He will need to be a lot more consistent in order to attract more bets from the punters.
Other than the favourite runner, Hidden Valley might also manage to make a big impression in the race. She has only managed to win once out of 11 attempts, but has secured a couple of runner up positions as well.

The four-year-old filly has not been in good form recently, as she ended up seventh in her most recent outing.
