Blazing Ruso tipped to succeed in Ladbrokes.com 480 Trophy – Final
Blazing Ruso is in a great position to claim the Ladbrokes.com 480 Trophy – Final at Monmore in England on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will get a cash prize of £400 in the end.
The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 20:42 GMT and a total of six quality hounds will be contesting for victory over 480 metres. This will definitely test their stamina, but speed at the start will also be crucial.
There are a few decent runners lined up for action in the race, but the best chances of victory appear to be with Blazing Ruso, who is in great shape right now and has performed well in his career until now. He has been priced 7 to 2 by the bookmakers and
will definitely catch the attention of the punters.
The P. Rosney’s trained hound made his debut in May this year, which means that he does not have a lot of experience. However, he has represented his team in this class on four occasions and his performances in them have been worth watching.
In his first ever Grade OR appearance, the young dog was rated as the favourite to succeed and he did not disappoint the bookies. He did not get off to an ideal start, but still had the speed to outperform his opponents comfortably.
Despite such a strong show in this class, the white and fawn hound was not given the best odds next time around. However, he proved that his first win was not a fluke and dominated proceedings in the presence of some quality runners. He managed to win by
four and a half lengths, as no one was able to cause problems for him.
Blazing Ruso was unable to complete a hat-trick of Grade OR victories and finished as a runner up next time around. He then moved to Monmore and did a few trial runs at this venue.
Ballymac Ruso’s son out of Miss Shauna was unable to win his most recent Grade OR event at Monmore. He did not have a clear run and had to settle for the second place in the end. However, he has the skills to turn things around and will definitely be fighting
for victory today.
