Bleach vs. Ammonia?

Question

So Im a housekeeper. My employers usually use bleach products like clorox cleanup and bleach soft scrub. Im a bleach girl myself, when used in appropriate places I go bleach happy.

Recently instead of clorox clean up they have been getting an all purpose cleaner with ammonia. I never use ammonia (except in windex)

What is the difference between the two? I don't want a molecular answer I just want to know what is ammonia better for usage. Is it stronger/weaker at killing bacteria than bleach or about the same?

I know not to mix the two

It isn't better but it is cheaper and they are likely trying to cut costs. i wouldn't want you all cleaning my house though as ammonia is the main ingredient in urine that tells animals where to pee. Since I have three dogs that come in my house that could be disasterous. Yikes!.
