  1. Bleaching will cause you to have increase sensitivity to certain foods.  It doesn't hurt but it can make your teeth sore especially if you have a cavity.  When I got my teeth bleached, I started using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth and it took the edge off the pain.  Good luck:))

  2. No!  When your teeth are bleached the Dr. or Asst. place agents on your teeth so your teeth don't become sensitive.  The only reason someone may endure some discomfort after bleaching is because the process of lightening your teeth is actually dehydration.  Your teeth "MAY" be cold sensitive for a day or so after the procedure.  Use a anti-sensitive toothpaste like sensodine after the bleaching.  Braces on the other hand don't hurt.  What does is sometimes a wire sticks out, so you put dental wax over the wire.  Or in some cases as your teeth are shifting your may experience a nead ache or jaw ache.  Advil or Motrin will help.  If you are planning to do one or the other.  do the braces first.  Then when the brackets are taken off, your reward for having the inconvenience of braces will be a bright white smile!  Enjoy!

  3. Bleaching does not hurt at all. If you do feel any pain it's just because of increased sensitivity from the hydrogen peroxide. I would NOT compare it to the pain of getting braces though!
