Bleaching to white blonde?

I am bleaching my hair. I want to achieve platinum blonde... I've already died it twice. I'm deep conditioning it and using hask placenta. I'm hoping someone with personal experience replies to this.

I want to know how many times ill have to bleach my hair to achieve pale yellow...... also what is a good toner to achieve the whitest color?

Keep in mind I'm working from black hair.... I've got it to a pail orange bright yellow so far.

Also, if you have any other secrets for strengthening the hair between bleaching it would be appreciated.

PS. Rude comments don't affect me........ don't answer just to get your numbers up. Serious responses please.

  1. I've bleached my hair from black to blonde like four times

I had to leave the bleach in for around four hours,

to get it to be white, 2 hours made it yellow and brassy.

I also bought a thick conditioner, and covered my head, and left

that in for around 25 minutes,it defiantly helps.

you just have to get ALL the conditioner out.

  2. I guess...  Use a protein conditioner (You can find a Sally's).  Then bleach gradually until you reach a pale yellow. (Notice I used the word "GRADUALLY").  Use the protein conditioner between bleaches.  Then tone your hair with a blue/violet toner and 20 volume developer.  I recommend Wella toners.  Try "white lady" or "silver lady" colors to achieve the white color.

  3. I have dark brown hair.  I went platinum several years ago.  For me, it took 4 times to get to the yellowish stage.  Can't remember the exact toner, but my guess would be to take the yellow out you would need a toner with a violet undertone as violet is the opposite color of yellow and would create a neutral shade.  ASK A STYLIST!  and for me, my hair was in super good shape.  I used Keraphix by nexxus which is a reconstructive type of conditioner. I swear I put it on my head, wrapped my hair with saran wrap, and slept like that for days to keep the bleaching from damaging my hair...before and after the bleach.

Also, try a shampoo like Simply Silver (Nexxus) or something similar made to take the dull yellowish tones out of white hair.  Its purple but you emulsify it in your hands and apply, let it on a few, then rinse.  Over the course of a few shampoos you will notice it looking better and better.

My advice is to talk to a stylist who specializes in the field of color.

Seriously you can kill your hair with bleach.  Just take your time with the processs and keep it conditioned like crazy..   and realize that your roots will show bigtime and quick so be ready for that.  Within 2 weeks you will have that skunk look going on.

Coloring back from a bleach like that is rather difficult as well.  Look into a colorist and realize that its a lot of work...

    AND good luck!!
