Bleaching upper lip?

Question

I have fair skin, and dark brown hair (which looks black) when you look close at my upper lip. Has anyone bleached their upper lip with this type of skin/hair color and been successful? I'm nervous to do this...I've just recently noticed this hair and don't like it..it's not that noticeable unless I point it out...but I haven't been in the sun much this year...so the hair hasn't lightened up. I'm nervous and scared to do this because of what might happen...what it will look like. I bought a bleaching kit tonight.. but I was also looking at hair removal cream..anyone ever tried that?? I'm afraid to wax and it could get costly if I have to do that often....Any advise would be appreciated..

my mom has dark hair and she bleaches her upper lip. it's better than waxing because if you wax it, it'll grow back thicker

I'm the fairest in my family. But I have dark (almost black) brown hair. And yes, it does work. It leaves the hair as blonde as Paris Hilton's.

i bleach mine , but i have tank skin but also kinda dark brown hair . i was nervous @ first oo , but it turns it soo blonde you cnt even see it ! its so worth it, and on pale skin itll b even less noticeable so do it !

I recommend waxing it. One of my best friends does it all the time, and it doesn't cost all that much and it's definatley worth it.

Don't bleach it, it could irritate the skin as could hair removal cream. Wax is the safest way to get rid of it.

i think you should try the bleaching. i heard if you wax or shave the hair comes out thicker and darker. i have the same problem with the hair but i havent tryed anything yet. my friend bleaches it and its been successful.

I have EXACTLY the same problem as you! and I used sally hansen bleaching cream...put it on for 7 minutes (it tingled a bit) and then, washing it off, my upper lip hair was no longer visible! You may think the hair looks too fair in the light but if you have a fair complexion it shouldn't be noticible. Hope I helped :-)

i've bleached and it works ok but be careful you dont leave it on too long or it will burn you.

yes it works so well!! i use the bleach kit from sally hansen. just use a little bit and leave it on for about 5 minutes. after the first time i used it, i didnt have to use it again for about 2 weeks!!!
