Bleeding to death what could it be???

I had my baby 5 weeks ago and have been bleeding (obviously) but all of a sudden it picked up super heavy and bright red. I know they say go in if it does that so PLEASE dont say "go to the doctor or hospital" my doc is closed there is no on call so I will go to the hospital BUT I was wondering if anyone knew what it could be????? On my left side it feels like my ovary has sharp pains once in a while?

If you are not completely soaking a large pad every hour or two and not passing extremely large blood clots I wouldn't too concerned yet. I hate to say it but it could be your period already also if you have been super active lately the bleeding could have just picked back up. Try resting as much as you can for a day or so to see if things calm back down.

This happened to me when I began exercising again.  It's usually due to doing too much activity.  Take it easy for the next couple of days and make sure the flow returns to normal.

that usually means you are overdoing it.  Lie down and try to rest for the rest of the day, and it should slow down.  You are not bleeding to death.

You may have started your period. Call the ER and ask to speak to the nurse and see what she tells you. Any thing can do this, but it may be your period. Do not use tampons! Wear pads for the next 3 months or until you have healed.
