Question:

Blender - Several questions?

If you get a blender, how much of the fibres and vitamins are saved / left over after blending fruit into a smoothie ? I'm looking to chop bigger chunks of fruit, I'm not gonna cut them into really small pieces, is this even possible for blender use?

Another thing i'm interested in is how much ice you need for one smoothie and if you could just use regular ice cubes and then crush them in your blender ( the blender I might buy does support it xD)?

Thanks in advance, Larry

  1. 1. Vitamins are lost in cooking, by air, and in water.. I would not worry about vitamin loss in making smoothie

    2. Fiber is lost in drying or grinding. Making smoothie will make you lose fiber

    3. Smoothie recipe

    1. Ice: 1 cup

    2. Yogurt: 1 cup

    3. Fruit: 1/2 cup

    4. Sweetener optional

    Blend well.
