Blighted Ovum Questions??

Okay so heres my story found out by a home pregnancy test I was pregnant was so excited.. A few days later started bleeding kind of like a normal period so I then went to the emergency room they did a pap test and he said I was having a threatened miscarrige because I was bleeding and my hcg levels were low he ordered me to come back in 2 days for another blood test I did and the hcg had only went up a couple numbers about a week after that I had my first obgyn appointment and he did a ultra sound where he stuck the probe inside of me he said I was having a blighted ovum and I would bleed it out and to come back and see him in 2 weeks I have been bleeding all this time was just worried only today have i noticed the blood clots but the dr said I would have to pass all that tissue go back to see him the 24th of this month. No cramping just bleeding and not filling a bad very quickly but still bleeding is everything like this supposed to be happening?

I found out I had a blighted ovum at 11 weeks.  I bled normally for about 2 weeks before the actual "miscarriage."  It was about 3 days (on and off) of very heavy bleeding, cramping, and finally passing everything.
