  1. I'm 25 and I was an aide to a TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) for a few months while I was student teaching for my Master's Degree. I worked alongside her, and she worked one:one with a preschooler with severe visual impairments. If you think I may be of help, feel free to e-mail me!

  2. The fact that they're blind should have no effect on your interview. The only questions might arise are, "How do you take criticism about your inablility to have normal eyesight? And how does it help you?" or "What are the advantages of being blind that others can never obtain?" You shouldn't feel worried or nervous either as an interviewer, just ask the same questions as if this person could see like everyone else.

However, good candidates for interviewing- go to a retirement home... the caregivers there would have experience dealing with blind elderly ppl. Also go to the optometrist or the ophthalmologist, the eye doctors. They deal with ppl who are legally blind but either perform surgeries or get them their glasses so their patients can see. I hope this helps
