Blind Pony???

Question

I went to go see this pony yesterday and he has one blue eye and one brown eye. But the brown eye has a pretty big spot of blue in it, and my mom said they looked kinda blood shot. And I noticed he was a little less responsive on that side, he also has scratched on that side but not the other. Is the brown eye blind?

no i dont think the brown eye is blind, because they usaully go aler when there blind not a different colour, but he may have hurt hmself on that side thereore being a loss in reaction on that side

The blue eye is a wall eye and is not blind.  The brown one might be a cataract, but you would need to get the horse vetted anyway and the vet might reassure you that it is a colour quirk, like me and madelaine mccann who have brown dots in blue eyes.

I don't think so. try moving your hand in front of that eye. We had a pony that was blind the last 6 years he was alive. He new our 8 acres and where the pond was so he didn't fall in. He new how to come in the barn without hitting a thing. I sure miss ole Rebel
