if i get running shoes...like the ones with 2 layers that reduce friction and ones with coolmax or other stuff that remove sweat and moisture....is it possible to keep getting blisters if your foot still slides a bit in your shoes(but with better socks, cuz i used to wear cotton socks)? cuz i like the shoes and i dont know what the problem with them is, and they were the shoes suggested to me by the lady in a specialty running store, and i only get blisters on the right foot.

  1. try using body glide, you can buy it at any sporting goods store for like 3 bucks.

  2. Try Injinji socks.  They are my favorite and I have never gotten a blister while in them.  Your shoes maybe the problem as well.  They may not be sized properly.  You may need a half size smaller if your feet are shifting around in them

  3. I'm glad you went with a 1/2 size bigger shoes, too tight of shoes can give you more problems.  Specialty running socks do help reducing friction and prevent blisters.  But for some people its just not enough.  If that's your case, try a product called Body Glide (looks like a deodorant stick and found in running stores), apply it to your troubled area on your feet, put on your socks and away you go.  That should help considerably.  You can also buy a package of 2nd Skin - blister prevention in a band aid form.
