Blizzard warning, should i go ski?

hey everyone

im planning to go skiing from the 3rd to 6th at heavenly near lake tahoe

but according to the weather report theres gonna be 30 mph winds and snow

should i go?

is it too dangerous to go into the mountains

for more info on the weather

  1. Definitely go.  Storm warnings are just snow warnings.  Trust the resort and lift operators to know the danger levels and to let you know whether it safe or not.  The people that wait at the bottom of the hill or at home don't get the good snow.  If you are on the mountain when it clears guess who gets the good stuff.  Also, If the mountain closes it means that everyone is hanging in the bar and haveing a ball.  Its a win win situation.


  2. i dont think it is worth it if something happens you might regret it if you reschedual that would be better

  3. How many times are you going to ask? I would still go. Conditions change over time.

    Plus, rain turns to snow with elevation. If it's too windy to be safe, the lifts will be closed.

    If you can get refunds and don't want to go, then don't. But if it's already paid for, then go! You could still party or do other things.
