Blog Traffic?

Question

I have submitted my site to sites that advertise for free. I still see no traffic how do i get a lot of readers. I run a very nice looking blog with great content.

You missed an opportunity here by not posting a link to your blog. Also do the following;

Make sure your blog has tags. These let the search engines find you. ALWAYS add tags to blog entries.

Add email signature files to outgoing emails. Free advertising wherever your email goes out.

Join linking sites such as http://www.facebook.com, http://www.twitter.com and especially http://www.stumbleupon.com. I get lots of hits through them.

Check out http://www.problogger.com for lots and lots of neat tips.

Comment on other blogs, linking back to your own. Do NOT comment just to post links- that's considered spamming. Make relevant comments then you can post a link.

Cross link with fellow bloggers. Link back to other blogs and often the blogger with cross link back to yours.
