are they free can make money by having one u know with pop ups or the commercials all around? how can i get one is it easy to maintain.

Hi, yes, they are free. And once it's set up, then it's very easy to maintain by simply writing daily entries.

There are many places you can get a free blog. I prefer Wordpress: http://www.Wordpress.com

But many people also use Blogger: https://www.blogger.com

Simply create an account, and follow the easy instructions.

THEN, to earn money blogging you will need to sign up with something like Google Adsense: https://www.google.com/adsense/

Blogs are free and no you can't make money from them. (they are made to have fun with them, not to profit from them)

To create a blog you go to My blog, and there you will see: Compose Blog, click on that, in the page that now opens, looks like an e-mail type of composition, compose your blog. when you are done in the button click Preview, it will take you to another page where you see your finished results. If you happy with it click on save.

You will see your entry in your blog page now.
