i really want a blog template like this

i wanted that one but it won't work on blogspot.com

so where can i find some that will, or how do i make it work?

The best way to get the MAXIMUM freedom in what theme (template) and add-in functions (widgets) you are allowed to install... go with WordPress... but DON'T get a blog at THEIR site, rather, install the WordPress SOFTWARE (which is completely free by the way) on your own free web hosting account.

That way, you can install any theme you want with no limitations, and there'll be no advertisements either, unless you want to add your own.
