i need my hair cutting! i want a cool indie haircut but my hair is too thick and it's just not happening- i've even tried straightening it but it doesn't work, can you give me some ideas of how to have it, not too short, just so it is controllable- no more than an inch really

thanks :)

  1. well if you like the way your hair is now but its too long to handle i'd say just get a trim and see how you like it...if straightening your hair is the problem it could be the straightener not your hair, i use a chi straightener which works really well but its expensive! also you could try some straightening products to help... just ask your hairdresser

  2. you could get some highlights done and wear your hair short and look at the latest decent pop groups or boy bands how they wear their hair, its cool and all ladies are crazy about it.  for example: green day, simple plan, mcfly, westlife.

thats about all i could recommend, try it out and see how it goes.

  3. If you like crazier hair, get your hair cut to the same length all over (kind of long but not too long), then spike it with some pomade, wax, gel, or glue, and dye it green and tip it with bleach or bleach it and get green tips.

If you like softer, less 'out there' hair, get a slightly longer cut with bangs swept over one eye. (I've always liked this style. :))

If you want a longer cut but have thick, wavy hair, let it grow to about chin length and only straighten it a little. This will tame it just enough to keep it wavy and easy but also managable and looking nice.

And, of course, you can always get it cut much shorter and spike it a bit in the front, or get a mohawk or something.

  4. You can have a cool indie cut - but you also need a cool hairdresser/stylist to do this ... because your hair's so thick you will need to have it thinned out as part of the styling  - and a really good stylist will know how to razor your hair to do this (honestly! they really do use a razor!).... and then you need a really good washing and conditioning and preparation regime to keep it looking great!.....
