Blonde Reagan set to avenge Romeo Patrol in Williamhill.com St Leger 2nd Semi-Final
Blonde Reagan will get a chance to avenge Romeo Patrol in the Williamhill.com St Leger 2nd Semi-Final at Wimbledon in England on Saturday, November 17, 2012. The latter of the two greyhounds has got more experience and will be confident of finishing at the
top of the table in the Grade OR contest.
However, things will not be entirely easy for him and he will have to earn a victory in the 687 metres race, which is scheduled to start at 20:30 GMT. A victory will help him bag a cash prize of £100 in the end. Moreover, he will comfortably qualify for
the final, which will please his team.
Romeo Patrol has been given a general starting price of 6 to 4 and will definitely get the attention of the bettors. He has been slotted in trap number six, but that will not make a big difference, as the race is a lengthy one. Despite that, he will look
to gain some momentum in the early phases in order to pressurise the rest.
However, the real battle will start towards the end of the race, when some of the hounds will run out of gas completely. The ones who would have saved some energy will be fighting for a victory at the end of the day.
In his most recent outing, Romeo Patrol was not given pretty decent odds for victory, but he surprised one and all in the end. He displayed excellent speed at the start and took the lead pretty early. From then onwards, no one was able to catch him, as he
took the top spot comfortably.
However, Blonde Reagan did give him a challenge at one stage of the race, but he fell way back towards the end. He made a couple of mistakes during the contest, which cost him a chance of fighting for the top spot.
The M. Wallis’ trained dog needs to forget that defeat though, as he will have a solid chance of winning this time around. Although, he does not have a lot of experience, yet he has been delivering some top quality results for his team. His fans will be
pretty sure that he would not let them down at Wimbledon today.
