Blonde Snapper all set to fire in Heat 5 (4 to qualify) at Wimbledon
Blonde Snapper seems to be the super favourite for Heat 5 (4 to qualify), taking place at Wimbledon on Friday, April 27, 2012. The 480 metres flat heat is scheduled to start at 21:00 GMT.
The Grade OR event holds a cash prize of £110, which is reserved for the triumphant hound. Taking part in the sprint are: Farloe Iceman, Blonde Snapper, Go Go Sonic, Fairway Fusion, Boxie and Farloe Luigi.
Although Farloe Iceman is in good shape these days, Blonde Snapper makes higher appeal. The black dog won two of his last three races at Romford.
The latest of his triumphs came on April 20, when he beat Fancy Socks by one and a half lengths. M. Wallis’ trainee has an ability to pick up an early pace, as he proved this quality in all of his previous five races.
If Droopys Kewell’s son manages to inflict pressure on his rivals in the early stages of the contest, he would be in good position to bag the winning prize.
However, Farloe Iceman is not going to be a sweet candy to swallow. The white and black dog was impressive last time out, he used inside rail of the track wisely to steer himself to a great position.
He had every chance to claim the top spot, but luck perhaps was not on his side. Consequently, he missed the gold medal by one and a half lengths.
Out of others, Go Go Sonic seems to be the strongest contender. Out of his previous five trips, the black dog tasted two victories and secured the runner-up place thrice.
He has been performing consistently over the past few weeks and he needs just a slice of luck to cause an upset. Boxie is not going to attract many punters. Likewise, the punters need a big heart to stake their money on Farloe
Luigi and Fairway Fusion.
According to the betting card, Farloe Iceman and Blonde Snapper are joint favourites. The latter gets our vote because he is in slightly better position to claim the winning cheque. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
