Blonde Snapper rated favourite for Millennium Stand Bookmakers Golden Sprint - Heat 1
Blonde Snapper is all set to take victory in the Millennium Stand Bookmakers Golden Sprint - Heat 1 at Romford in England on Friday, April 6, 2012. The cash prize for the winning greyhound will be £150.
The Grade OR event will start at 19:46 GMT and the runners will be fighting over 400 metres to take victory. Following are the entries confirmed for the flat race: Blonde Snapper, Farloe Ashes, Melodys Express, Mountjoy Hawk, Bonnan Bui and Kish Corsair.
Out of the above hounds, Blonde Snapper is in very good form and that helped him get the best odds for today’s race. He likes the shorter distances and will make life difficult for the rest of the runners.
Due to this, the punters will be placing quite a lot of bets in Blonde Snapper’s favour. He finished runner up in his most recent run. He had the best odds to win that event, but failed to meet the expectations of everyone.
However, M. Wallis’ trainee is still expected to be dominant in today’s race, as he has a better momentum compared to the rest of the participants. He is the son of Droopys Kewell out of Rough Charley and was born in October 2008.
The bookies have also given pretty decent odds to Farloe Ashes, who been in terrific rhythm over the past few races. He is a quality runner and can cause an upset at Romford today.
P. Curtin’s trainee finished first in his most recent outing, thus the bettors will have a lot confidence in his abilities. He is fully aware of the conditions at Romford though and will be one of the hounds to watch out for.
The seasoned dog is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Final Pearl and was born in September 2009.
Apart from the top two favourites, Melodys Express will also be the one to look out for. He has not been in rhythm recently, but still has the potential of troubling his rivals.
The real battle will be between the top two hounds whereas the rest of the runners will not find things easy in this grade. However, racing is always unpredictable and anything can happen at the end of the day.
