Finishing 1¼ lengths behind Blonde Alfie was Mutton Cutlet (9-2) in second place. He finished the race in 29.55, and also held an early pace at one point. Third place went to High Aoife (9-2), whose time of 29.73 was 2¼ lengths behind Mutton Cutlet.
In the number four spot was Cape Scar, who was a joint favourite with Blonde Alfie pre-race. He finished with a time of 29.83, placing him 1¼ lengths behind third position.
