Blonde highlites and chlorine?

do blonde highlites turn green when swimming with chlorine?

I'm not sure about highlights, because I'm a natural blonde. And there's been many times over the years that my hair has turned green from chlorine.

Umm. i'm pretty sure. The chemicals react and it's not good. I've been a swimmer and water polo player for 4 years now, and the chlorine bleaches my regular hair from brown to blonde. I can only imagine what it would do with highlights.

To help, rinse your hair first before getting into the pool. (with a hose or shower or whatever) it stops the chlorine from attaching to your hair.
