Blonde people's hair gets darker?

Question

I'm in 8th grade and I noticed that a lot of kids who used to have really light (almost white) blonde hair as kindergarteners turned more golden blonde during the elementary school and since middle school they've turned this dark ashy blonde-brown color. Will this go on until they turn into brunettes? Why does this happen? And why does this happen only to blondes, but not other hair colors? (as far as I can tell)

I'm not sure thats happening to my cousins hair too! I just think it will get to be a really dark blonde.

As you get older, your hormones change, cause all kinds of changes in your hair. Im also blonde, and this happenes to me. If you pay attention to their eyebrows, you cans ee what colour hair they will end up with as an adult. For example, I have dark-ish brown eyebrows, and I used to have beach-blonde hair, then yello-blonde hair, then honey-blonde hair, then golden blonde-hair, and then finally, now, I have dirty-blonde hair. Im now 14 years old. When I become an adult, my hair will match my eyebrows.

It's the hormones that change the hair colour. Remeber, pay attention to their eyebrows. Good luck!

It's not caused by puberty. Our hormones change naturually, little by little each day since the day we were born. Its not cause by puberty, although it happens quicker DURING puberty.

i donno why but that happened to my friend who was blonde her hair turned into light brown during her freshman year and now in sophmore year she has died her hair dark brown, almost black

Its usually caused by puberty. Its the same thing when people have straight hair when they are little, but as they grow up, it gets really curly.
