When somebody wounds himself and he starts bleeding, how soon does the body act to close the wound? Also, when the bleeding stops, does it mean that the wound is sealed? Can bacterias and viruses still enter or is the interior skin intact?

  1. an healthy adult's body gets the wound clot by 2 min but the time can exceed to 5 to 10 minutes in some other cases.

after the wound is clotted bacterias and viruses can still enter the body through it as the clot is only able to stop RBCs because of their large size.

  2. Pressure must be applied to stop the wound to stop the bleeding. The wound then needs to cleansed with soap and warm water, followed by an antibiotic ointment (this only if it quits.  If it doesn't stop bleeding, you probably need stitches to stop the bleeding.  If you don't need stitches and get the wound to stop bleeding, healing should start immediately.  Twice a day, I would remove band aid, reapply either triple antibiotic ointment or neosporin and reapply a new band aid.  The healing process should start immediately.  If you suspect that the would is getting infected, use peroxide, let dry and put your ointment and band aid on it.  As long as you are persistent in your care of the wound and keep it covered with the ointment and band aid, you shouldn't get any bacterias and viruses.,
