Blood Pressure and Hydroxycut Hardcore?

im taking hydroxycut hardcore and i read that one of the side effects is high blood pressure. i don't fully understand blood pressure so im a bit confused. does your blood pressure return to normal if you stop taking it or does it go back to normal a couple of hours after taking it? (i don't have any of the side effects, im just curious.)

Hydroxycut is like drinking 3-6 cups of coffee.  It is loaded with caffeine and similar ingredients.

I am not a doctor, but knowing how high blood pressure works, i'm rather sure it will return to normal when the drug leaves your system, which is most likely in 3 days.

High blood pressure is best to be thought of like a hose. Your vein is the hose. There is two ways to increase water pressure, you can increase how much water is going through the hose (this is like eat salt which makes you retain water and cause high blood pressure) or by making the hose more narrow (this would be like eating fat, you can also think of it like putting your thumb over the end of the hose to make it shoot farther).

So odds are this drug makes you retain more water, if you are healthy, high blood pressure form this doesn't do much to you, but i would be wondering how it works if all it is doing is creating you to retain more water.

I'm fully expecting this to be offensive to anyone with a clean moral compass. The first person to answer this question was a dip*(#$. Holy (#@(. Wow. Ok. He had some good stuff in there and I though good, this one's totally covered by the intern with his laptop..... then realized that s/he was totally not internal medicine material and came back to reality with the idea that fat would automatically increase blood pressure (apparently dietary fat maybe regardless of the source? The dork didn't specify).

Ok. To answer your question. There are two great reasons why hydroxycut would tend to increase blood pressure. One is caffine and the other is yohimbe. Both a vaso-constrictors, that is, they cause the blood vessel to squeeze down and get thinner (as in a smaller diameter). You have the same volume of blood, in less area, which means pressure increases.

It will go back to normal as soon as the caffine and yohimbe are out. I dunno where the three day estimate was, I know caffine is about 8 hours regardless of dose but yohimbe I'm not sure on though I doubt three days certainly, I dunno if there are any actual papers written on that I'll have to check (the extraction rate of yohimbe from the bloodstream).

Sorry I dunno about the yohimbe but glad to finally help a little. Water retention. Wow. What a moron. Caffine is a mild diuretic. Could you imagine actually having that horrible mush for brains? Ugh. I hate that answer. Gross!
