I had a blood test about a month ago and was told nothing was wrong, even though this was the case i was still called in for another one which is to take place in about 4 weeks.

Is this the normal procedure?

Thanks.

  1. Repeating blood tests are normally done to make sure ie medication is working right or if some types of disease is stable. What ever the reason u have to go back its in your best interest heath wise.

  2. Yeah I think it is a normal procedure.

I had a blood test and the doctor told me that there weren't enough fluids in my blood:(

the doctor will probably see if you are anemic or if there is something abnormal with your blood though i'm pretty sure your blood is fine

  3. Depends on what the original test was for. I had tests for platelet count and it was found to be excessively low. All they did was stop me donating blood and continued testing until the platelets rose again.

This is only one reason and I'm sure there are hundreds of other reasons the doctor wants a second test - it does not mean there is anything wrong but if you are unsure about the situation talk to you doctor and ask him the reason why.

  4. It depends on what the test was for.

but yes, it is normal to repeat tests every 2-3 moths, depending on what the doctor is testing for.  Sometinmes symptoms don;t show up in the blood right away.

  5. It really depends. What was it for, are you taking any meds of any sort, anything actually could cause this. But yes, its normal, I take blood tests every other month, but thats for another health thing haha..

  6. it is probably a comparison test
