Question:

Blood blisters and dance.?

Tonight I got a blood blister on each of my big toes from a Jazz class. The Tap class that followed was full of pain and trying to to wince violently. I would pop them to release the pressure (with a needle, not pop like a pimple or anything) but i have a Modern class tomorrow night and I'm scared it will hurt unbearably bad. But it's going to hurt really bad if I don't pop them too, so should I or shouldn't I? Any other suggestions? Somethign I could do to dull the pain a bit? Thanks! =]

  1. pop them put antibiotic ointment and baindaid

  2. What i would do is if you don't have any classes after the modern, like you have a day off, then just wait. But if you do you best of all just get it over with because eventually you're going to have to do it anyways.... :(

  3. Do it, or (only if it is not open) out some lemon on it (it will dry the blister). You need to do it. Just be careful not to get infected. And for tomorrow, buy this thing for blisters called "New-Skin" it is actually very good. And/ Or Tape your toes.

Get your feet to relax, massage them softly and wash them really good. You can put them in some cool water to get your muscles to relax.

    Good Luck Tomorrow!

  4. it will help relieve the pressure, but u have to watch for infection if u are gonna pop it urself. The best thing to do is go buy some moleskin and put it on the blisters before you go to ur modern class. Cut a circle in the moleskin so the blister is not covered by it, but the pressure will be taken off. Take some advil to help with the pain. Whether u pop em or not its still gonna hurt, so just grin and bear it...thats the bad side of dance!
