Blood in nasal mucus?

I know this is kinda gross, but I've been getting blood in my nasal mucus for a few months now. It hardly ever happens when my nose is runny, and usually just comes out in the form of dried "boogers." Also, it's always out of my right nostril, never my left. Anyone have an idea why?

this happened to me a few months ago. you may have just gotten a cut in your nose that you didn't know about and may have irritated it by sneezing or scratching. nothing to be afraid of, went away within a few days for me.
