Question:

Blood pregnancy test? Is this rediculous?

I have desperately wanted to get pregnant for quite sometime now but my husband seems to think we don't have the money so it's not likely that I am pregnant (although he didn't pull out on the 19th) I have been thinking about getting a blood test done at the doctors office because I heard that they can detect pregnancy the day after conception. Is this true and what do you think I should do! I don't think I can stand to wait to see if I miss my period! Thanks!!!

  1. I had a positive blood test 11 days after conception.

Just give your husband time.  My husband and I went back and forth many times and finally when I was really ready and my husband wasn't I was patient and told him that when he is ready come to me and I will be waiting.  Well sure enough a week or so later he told me he was ready.  The more you bug him and force him it will push him away.

Another suggestion - create a "budget" with your current income and what you have left over each month and then figure out how much money you will spend on baby stuff each month to see if you really can afford it, if you can then how him that.  Guys need to see it on paper, and see how it will work out.  Good luck.

  2. You can always try but you may have a hard time finding a doctor who will give you a blood test that early because it will not be as accurate as if you wait until you miss your period. Some doctors will not test UNLESS you've missed your period.  Good luck to you though and ~*babydust*~

  3. blood test can be done 8 days after conception ;) as per calendar here my calendar...
