Question:

Blood pressure averages?

My bp has been creeping up slightly, my doctor suggested I buy a bp monitor that automatically inflates itself so I can log my readings.

But should I keep track of averages on a daily, weekly or monthly basis?

Do blood pressure averages mean anything or is it just individual readings that count?

  1. every one is diffrent also you age and health you need to know from your doctor how often and what you should be writing down it is any thing to worry about they will keep an eye on you i have one i hardely use it i pop down to see my doctor for them to check

  2. To start with you could measure your BP daily, then, once you have a couple of weeks of readings, drop it down to a couple of times a week. After that, if it seems stable, a couple of times a month should be sufficient.

See http://www.smart-heart-living.com/high-b... for more about how to take your readings. There is also a link for a free BP log you can download that's very useful for recording your readings.

Once you've accumulated a lot of readings, you can average them to get a better picture of what your blood pressure is.

    Hope this helps... good luck!

  3. bp averages by what you eat or drink  keep up your heart health and see a cardio doc if it continues it my be hypertension (high bp) or hypotantion (low bp)
