Blood shot eyeball that wont go away?

I have this eyeball that will be bloodshot one day and then fine the next. it will randomly go away and come back. I thought my mascara/eyeliner was affecting it so i changed my type and it still will come back randomly. I've put like so many eyedrops in my eye too. its so weird. idk what to do?

Are your eyes dry? It could be a symptom of KCS (dry eye), if you use eye drops more than a few times a day you need to get a lubricating drop that comes in individual sets as the typical drops like visine etc are bad for the eye if you use them  several times a day due to the preservatives that are in them.

I would suggest a check by your eye doctor to make sure everything is ok.

Visit your doctor. I sometimes have a bloodshot but it goes away a few hours later. It can also occur if you've bee rubbing your eye too much.

Have you been using 'get the red out' eye drops, like visine? If so, you've given yourself rebound redness. STOP using visine, and if it doesn't go away, see an ophthalmologist.
