Blood spot on my eye?

Just now, my left eye was really tense because I've been reading a lot on my laptop. I looked in the mirror and theres this blood red spot near my iris on the outer corner of my eye. All I did was put my palms against my eyes to ease the tension. Could that have caused the blood? Its not bleeding, and it is about the size of half a pencil eraser.

Your eye just probably popped a vessel from eye strain or stress/trauma. Nothing serious, just rest your eyes and don't put it to work so much.

If it looks like actual blood, it's called a sub-conjunctival hemorrhage.  It can occur spontaneously for no specific reason and this is the number-one cause, but some known causes are, rubbing, heavy coughing or sneezing, vomiting, picking up something heavy, taking too many blood thinning medications, etc.

The bottom line is, it is a bruise.  It will run it's course in 7 to 10 days.  There should be no pain, maybe only a fullness feeling to the eye.  Cool compresses used a few times a day may help it to reabsorb.  One occurrence is nothing to be alarmed about.  If it happens repeatedly, see your doctor.

Of course, all of this is off the cuff, having not seen your eye.

See its not a blood spot its due to over use of your eyes.

See I am not goin' scientifically so try and understand.

Your eyes need a bit of rest and then they will automatically.

Once they r goen youcan start ur work again I m not sayin you to go for a bed rest. I am asking you to give ur eyes a bit less work and let them be ready for their upcomin' tasks.

Don't read a lot in the laptop.

Its kinda harmfull...
