Bloodshot eyes?

My eyes are always bloodshot. I don't smoke, drink alcohol, and I get a good amount of sleep. I wear contacts and have tried many types of eyedrops, but they don't work at all. I'm really getting tired of people in school assuming I'm stoned all the time. Anyone have any help. And don't say anything like "go to the eye doctor", because I'm about to do that. I just want to know if this is anything serious or not.

my mom has this problem.  she was told by her eye dr that it's because her eyes aren't getting enough oxygen to them, and that she needed to switch from hard lenses to gas permeable.  

i would ask your eye dr about switching to the type of contacts that let air/oxygen in.  that should help.

You may be allergic to your contact solution.  You should try a water-based solution and if that doesn't clear up, you should go to an eye doctor.
