Question:

Blower motor on above stove microwave not running

I purchased a used GE above stove microwave and am adapting it to a recirculation vent, but the fan motor does not run when in operation, there is a fan running inside the Microwave and I can feel air blowing to the outside front left, does the duel fan in the back of the MV need to be running, or does it kick on as needed
ALSO I CAN NOT FIND A FILTER IN UNIT
