Blowing fuses after hooking up siren?

I have a new 100 watt siren and a 100 watt speaker. I hooked the new siren up to my old wires the siren came on for a second and the fuse blew. So I run all new wires tried it and the fuse blew after a second. I unhooked my speaker and tried all the functions and nothing happed the fuse never blew. What could the problem be what should I do? I used14 gauge and a 15 amp fuse 34 volts.

  1. get the appropriate fuse amp for it, check the manufactures recommendation.

  2. 34 volts! what is this in? a car is 12 or 6 volt with an occasional 24 volt military application. Is the siren self powered?
