  1. hahahaha.. It is always easier to take things to shop.  You'll get it back in the next few months, if you get lucky.   I would personally do the job myself.  If you have not done it yourself before, get yourself a repair manual.  The job will take about an hour to do on each fork.  It is not complicated at all.  All you need are new seal and fork oil.  The tool require are your basic socket, allen wrench, and s***w driver.

You will enjoy the bike more if you do it yourself.  I would recommend to replace both forks seals at the same time.  If only 1 seal replace, the other seal will go out as well.

    Enjoy your bike!

  2. even though I have the tools & knowledge, I still take in to a bike shop to have seals replaced due to the amount of time required to do it properly...

but instead of taking the bike in, what I do is merely drop the front tire assembly off the bike, loosen the upper & lower bolts in the triple clamps ... slide each fork leg out and only take the fork legs in to the shop.  that will save you 30 minutes of the shop labor rate.

should only cost about $60-70 per leg if you remove the legs yourself...

  3. no no no take it to the shop i know it sucks but you will not do it without the tools and they cost

  4. depends on where you live  , cycle one in orlando ,fl is real reasonable
