Blown fuses in a Pioneer RX-570

Question

I took your advice and found the fuse was blown. I got a 6.3A 250V slow blow fuse from Radio Shack. However when I plug the unit back in it blows the fuse. What could be wrong and is it an easy fix or should I take it to a repair shop. I think the original problem was caused by a power surge as the power had gone out earlier in the day due to a thunder storm.
