  1. look Woody try to keep this in mind that the Hard drive TV recorders will be something from the mid-evil ages soon. and if u buy it now u ll see all ur Friends later have the Blu-ray DVD

Blu-ray DVD is much better, smaller, and it has more capacity

  2. It entirely depends on what you want it for.

If you want it on disk then obviously go for the blue-ray (as hdd has been wiped out) or if you want it just to watch, they both should have the same quality of recording but the only difference is the hard drived recorder will hold more, but the blue-ray is portable.

    Hope this helps.

  3. i wouldnt invest in a blu-ray recorder just yet due to lack of hd broadcasting, but if you want a blu-ray player i would highly recomend a ps3 it's the cheapest bd player you can get and a games console too.

  4. I've had a HDD/DVD recorder for over a year and a PVR (which uses a hard disc drive) for a couple of months. Both produce excellent quality recordings. Some machines, eg latest Panasonics have HDMI built in so you should have really excellent picture. With HDD/DVD you can copy from hard disc to normal DVD (no Blu Ray yet to the best of my knowledge) which will be of virtually identical quality.

Blu Ray carries quite a premium as yet so I would recommend an HDD/DVD machine for the immediate future. Things might change over the course of the next year or two.

The real questions I suppose are how much you are prepared to pay for the latest technology, and how much difference you will see in the end recording, and this will depend to a large extent on how good your TV is. Bear in mind that the whole chain (quality of source material, the recorder, the TV and all the interconnect cables, even mains supply) have a bearing on the quality of what you see and hear.

  5. i like  both but i dont want them because they are albino

  6. i have had sky+ since it started and think it is great

you can record what you want you can record a series with series link

if you buy a film on sky box office and dont watch it you dont pay for it

you can also record what you have on the hard drive onto a dvd so you only save onto dvd what you want to keep if you dont want to keep it you delete it

  7. If you're in the U.K then Virgin Media Cable offer both in it's V+ box.

  8. I would get a DVR from your cable/satallite company, u don`t have to pay much only a month fee (about $5-10) i have it, its awsome u don`t need to buy one

  9. I have a hard drive dvd recorder, i have not seen a blue ray recorder yet.
