Blu ray burner?

Question

I need a external or portable Blu-ray burner so i can burn from my computer to the burner. I also want it to play Blu-ray so i can play it back on my TV. It must be able to playback on a TV.

I looked at the LG BE06 but you cannot transmit it to your TV in HD. Unless you can. Anyone know of one that suits me?

You need to look into AnyDVD HD ( http://www.slysoft.com )

I have LG GBW-H20L and it works fine.

You are running into the problem of copy protection. The manufacturers have decreed that all Blu-ray players and burners  will conform to HDCP specs and prevent the transmission of HD video in any way that can be recorded. "s***w the consumer so long as pirates can't get their hands on our precious content." The sad thing is that pirates have ALREADY broken HDCP protection. It's the consumers who actually buy and own the content who get screwed by all this.

There are illegal programs that will allow copies to be made, but you take your chances.

And caught in the middle are the very few people who want to author original BD (Blu-ray) titles. The professional producers have the expensive equipment to do this.  It is only amateur producers who get caught.

BTW the LG burner WILL transmit to your TV in HD. It will not transmit to your computer or any other device that is not HDCP compliant.
