I have unfortunately got really old wallpaper and this make putting up posters a real pain as the blu-tack doesn't come unstuck it just pulls off pieces of wallpaper with it. I don't want to damage my posters so no using tacks. Any suggestions?

  1. If you have a picture rail you can buy a sort of top and bottom frame that fits the poster tnen hang it on a picture hook.

End of bright ideas.  Habitat used to sell them.

  2. If you don't mind putting the tacks into your walls, then go to an office supply store and buy the larger 'paper clips' that have a bent flat piece of metal and two 'wings' that you use to open and close them.  Put one where you want to 'stick' the poster, on the top and bottom, then put a tack in each 'corner' of one wing of the paper clip.  Use clips top and bottom and very gently stretch the poster until it's flat and hanging the way you want it to hang.  My husband is a fine artist, and like most artists he was 'starving' for a long time, and he found this is one of the best ways to hang things he doesn't want to frame, or to hang things with just a piece of plexiglass to 'cover' it ... it's very inexpensive and if you do it right, it looks very classy.
