Which group of performers have you seen and which are you a fan of?

Ive seen both and I love them both. I have worked with the Blue Angels in El Centro, CA which is their summer or winter home, I forget.

To watch them practice their routine for about a month was an honor for me while serving in the USMC. I got to hang out with the pilots and the crew. Until then I had never known that one jet is piloted by a Marine...I think its always the number 2 jet.

  1. Both!

  2. I've seen both, and both are excellent entertainment.  Just can't choose one over the other.  I have too much respect for both.

  3. I grew up an Air Force brat, I've seen the Thunderbirds more times than I can remember. Seen the Blue Angels a few times too, both put on a great show.

  4. I have seen both and they are both great but because we are a navy family the Blue Angels have my heart. Gotta support the same branch you know :)

  5. I am a HUGE fan of our military's aerial demonstration teams because I love fighter jets. I have seen the Thunderbirds three times and the Blue Angels once. I usually aim to see them each at least once per season and try to make a road trip out of it, so this year I am planning to see the Blue Angels at Miramar in October and the Thunderbirds at Nellis AFB Vegas in November.

I think I like the Thunderbirds better because I like F-16's and better than F/A-18's and I also prefer their maneuvers.

  6. I have seen the Thunderbirds several times while in the AF.  We also lived in Gulf Breeze, FL only 12 miles from Pensacola NAS (home of the Blue Angels). Both teams work with absolute precision and are awesome!

  7. I have seen them both plus the Canadian Snowbirds. They are all great. The best was during San Francisco fleet week. We were in my son-in-laws boat off  of Alcatraz and the Blue Angels were breaking right over heads.

  8. Both. I can remember seeing the Thunderbirds back to the 1950's. Seen the Blue Angels less. But one time when I was about 14 I still remember a F-100 in the Thunderbirds colors flying down a valley in a long level flight and then pulling up in late afternoon sun.Late 1960's. It was when there was an airshow outside Nashville at the old Stewarts AFB....It was one of the most beautiful aviation memories I have. And I have quiet a few......
