Blue Chicago and Highview Dolly in for a clash in the Greyhound & Pet World Puppy Oaks 525 Semi-Final
The Greyhound & Pet World Puppy Oaks 525 Semi-Final will be a tough one between Highview Dolly and Blue Chicago. The 525 yards flat race at Harold’s Cross on Friday, 27th July will witness the participation of four more rivals invading the track
in order to get entitled to the €75 prize money.
The field of two-year-old puppies is generally lightly raced however, the accomplishments of the daughters of Droopys Scolari and Kinloch Brae have superseded the competition in the short span of time and the short lived experience that they were exposed
to.
Out of the two, the under charge of Shanahan, has raced just five times ever since the season shot off and during the six months the two-year-old blue b***h has amassed three victories, lined up as a hat-trick on the profile.
The proud accomplishment is sandwiched between a third and second finishing. She has raced at three different venues and over three different distances already.
Blue Chicago’s first success at Harold’s Cross was in the Dobbins @ The Cross 525 on 9th July, 2012 over 525 yards.
After leaving the sixth gate she was fast to race away and went clear soon, concluding the race in 28.69 seconds and winning by the margin of twelve astonishing lengths.
She set Oran Prince as the runner-up.
Today it will be her third chance of racing at Harold’s Cross, the last two split between a first and then a second position.
In comparison, the black b***h, Highview Dolly, has not been as lucky. She started her career in March and has raced twice more than Chicago Blue. Her racing experience shot off with four training sessions; two at Harold’s Cross and the remaining at the
Shelbourne Park.
They served futile as the first four races of the career transformed into a vicious phase of failure which portrayed the hound’s lack of conviction.
A solo at Harold’s Cross on 12th June, 2012 over 324 yards turned the fate for the two-year-old as the success after that was joined by two additional victories, making it her first hat-trick of the career.
If she will be able to extend the hat-trick or not, will unroll soon.
