Blue Max, a tempting entry for the Coral on TV Trophy – Heat 1 on 20th February
Romford is to stage the Coral on TV Trophy – Heat 1 on Monday, 20th February. The 400 metres open race offers £150 to the winner. The race will be contested for by six contenders.
Hounds with one of the highest probabilities of stamping the race is Blue Max, Droopys Maldini’s blue dog out of b***h Archers Sparkler. He is trained by P. Young and has equally divided his four starts of the 2012 season in two victories and two second
positions.
His last six outings have been in Grade A1 races.
On 4th February, Blue Max won the Grade A1 400 metre flat race for which he was entered as a 5/2 favourite. He rushed through the track distance in 24.27 seconds.
In his next start on 11th February, Blue Max was not sent as a favourite second time in a row but won the Grade A1 400 metre flat anyways. The 3/1 favourite of the race, Lisloose David finished fifth on the track of six racing.
In case Blue Max succeeds in dominating the field today then he will get entitled to a hat trick.
The three-year-old Droopys Bach, Westmead Joe’s black dog out of b***h Droopys Chelsea, is under training J. Reynolds. The hound has struck four victories in a row beginning from 18th November 2011 to 3rd February 2012.
Droopys Bach won the RGOA Members Trophy Race on 25th January at Romford, raced over 400 metres. He was the 11/8 favourite for the race. Then on 3rd February, he claimed the Romford Stadium Standard which was raced over 400 metres.
Droopys Bach concluded the race in 24.01 seconds.
His most recent attempt however saw him going a little down on his benchmark. He finished third behind the winner in the Coral Romford Standard open race on 10th February at Romford. Mountjoy Osprey was the 11/8 favourite for the race.
If Droopys Bach gets the race posted as a victory on his record or not, will come out in the open very soon.
The rest of the lineup has Trappers Corner, Lisloose David, Pams Tomjo and Blonde Snapper. Blue Max and Lisloose David have raced together before, how well will they integrate with competition this time around, is still to be seen.
