Blue Max looking in good shape for Romford’s A1 400m Flat
Despite failing to impress his fans last time around, Blue Max is being considered as hot favourite for the 400 metres flat heat, taking place at Romford on Wednesday, March 07, 2012.
Not much time left for the punters to make their mind, as the party is scheduled to start at 22:13 (GMT). The Grade A1 clash holds a cash prize of £135.
Among the entries are:
Blue Max
Sable Blue
Lavally Sunrise
Solid Kaka
Regal Ransom
Already Gone
According to the betting forecast, Blue Max is heading the betting card. The blue dog was badly baulked in his last race, finishing fifth on the table.
However, that does not take anything away from him, as the hound is coming into this battle after good preparations.
On Feb 23, the P. Young-trained made a solo outing, covering 400 metres in a little more than 30 seconds.
The August-09 son of Droopys Maldini out of Archers Sparkler will have to come up with an improved show in order to dominate the proceedings tonight.
Sable Blue is also determined to do something decent. His last two outings were not impressive at all, as he finished fourth and third respectively.
Yet, nobody can take him lightly, as the blue dog holds an ability to shock his rivals. His last triumph came at the start of February, when he outclassed Droopys Rosemary by a head distance.
Holding the odds of 4 to 1 each, Lavally Sunrise and Solid Kaka are evenly matched for today’s race. The former of the two secured second position in his last race at Romford.
On the other hand, Solid Kaka failed to well in his previous two races, but no one can overlook his fantastic performance on February 21.
The black dog locked the top position comprehensively, outplaying Priceless Rocket by 3¾ lengths.
Regal Ransom and Already Gone are struggling with their form and therefore, it will be dangerous to put money on them.
Prediction
Blue Max and Sable Blue are looking in good position to do well. Both hounds are well capable of sealing the top position, but our vote goes to Blue Max.
After an unimpressive performance, the dog will be h**l-bent to redeem some respect. Although he has the highest chances of winning, an upset cannot be discarded.
